In North America, our offices are in Stamford, Orlando, Providence, and Toronto. We are licensed to operate in each US State, and in Canada at the Federal level we are registered with FINTRAC and at the Provincial level in Quebec. 
ROLE PURPOSE:
As part of the launch of a new U.S. bank, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Associate to join our Operations team. This role is central to managing the oversight of risk and controls across the full life cycle of Payments Demand Deposit Accounts (DDAs) and Term Deposits (TDs), ensuring operational excellence across setup, maintenance, reconciliation, and liquidity management.
 
You will be responsible for creating reporting and controls for operations processes, including developing and setting up the nostro account reconciliation process, intraday reporting and monitoring and standardized operational controls. Additionally, you will cross-train with the operations team and support day-to-day execution, for example, data entry and authorization, document review and verification, intraday queue and balance monitoring or similar tasks.

Key Responsibilitiees:
Reconciliations 
  • Set up and maintain reconciliation matching logic and data feeds in reconciliation system.
  • Perform daily reconciliation and resolve breaks with respective stakeholders
  • Prepare and coordinate reconciliation signoff and documentation.
  • Compile regular reporting of outstanding overdue items for management review
Reporting & Monitoring 
  • Create intraday reporting dashboards.
  • Perform intraday and end of day reporting and escalate any issues.
  • Develop Key Performance Indicator and Key Risk Indicator reporting
Risk & Controls 
  • Define and document operational controls including test description.
  • Perform and document standardized control testing and escalate any discrepancies
  • Maintain operations relevant risk inputs for Risk and Control Self-Assessments and Business Continuity Planning
  • Document risk incidents for operations and track action items to completion
Day to day operations 
  • Enter or authorize manual data entries for daily processing
  • Support KYC onboarding document review

Stakeholder Management:

  • Provide timely updates and reporting against metrics, outcomes and milestones

Product Development:

  • Apply an agile mindset and approach to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features and improvements.
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Experience in operations, treasury, or liquidity management within a banking or financial services environment
  • Understanding of DDA and TD products, interest rate mechanics, and tax implications.
  • Familiarity with Fedwire, ACH, and USD clearing processes
  • Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, build-phase environment with a hands-on approach 
  • Understanding of linked transaction banking products such as Reporting, Connectivity and Tax
  • Ability to develop the processes and procedures for the specific products and processes   
  • Proven experience delivering outcomes in fast moving environments
  • Experience working with financial institution and/or corporate clients

What's in it for you?   
  • This is a full-time, permanent position and we are seeking candidates based locally to our Stamford, Connecticut office. The expectation is that the successful applicant is able to work from our Stamford office 1 day per week, whilst being prepared to work remotely / travel to customer sites for the remainder of the wee where required  
  • This role offers a salary range between $75,000-$95,000 per annum + bonus scheme and a comprehensive benefits package
